Abstract

Labor screening is one of the instruments that helps midwives detect early complications in labor. Pregnancy exercise is a physical exercise specifically for pregnant women so that they can train the flexibility of the pelvic floor muscles that support childbirth, as well as if breathing is very important in labor. Prenatal yoga can help pregnant women to control their thoughts, desires, and reactions to stress. This study aims to determine whether pregnancy exercise and prenatal yoga can affect the results of childbirth screening? The design used was quasi-experimental with a post-test only approach. The sample is primigravida parturient with inclusion, as many as 20 people for the pregnancy exercise group and 18 people in the prenatal yoga group. Each sample was given treatment once a week for four weeks. Delivery of labor is assessed from birth until the second stage. The Z score test showed that there was no significant difference between childbirth screening scores in the two sample groups with a probability value of 0.588. This shows that pregnancy exercises and prenatal yoga both provide a good impact in the delivery process.
